June and Sunshine

We are in busy wedding season now and with the sunny weather, it's a beautiful time to get married! We have set-up for several weddings in Newcastle over the last weekend, and have have provided decoration for two wedding ceremonies being held outside in the sunshine! A beautiful wedding ceremony with aubergine purple and silver as the colour scheme. The same flowers co-ordinating with colours in the chair ties and linens for the wedding reception.

May Weddings

Congratulations to all those couples recently married and thank you for choosing us to decorate your wedding venues on the big day! Venues for our May weddings included Wynyard Hall, Matfen Hall, Dryburgh Abbey Hotel and MacDonald Cardrona Hotel.

April 2010 Spring Weddings

April and spring is here! Wedding colours this month have been mainly greens and pinks. A beautiful wedding at Melville Castle and Craighouse and a number of venues across Edinburgh & The Scottish Borders.

Don't forget to ask for a fabric swatch of any colour you are trying to match. Most brides match colours to bridesmaid dresses, flowers or venue colours. We have a range of colours and different shades available for the chair ties. We will also recommend other decorations and have ideas to enhance your style of wedding or event. Just Ask!

The Maitlandfield House Hotel Open Day

The Maitlandfield House Hotel Wedding Open Day, Haddington, on Sunday 28th February had local wedding suppliers showing what they do best. From the bridal fashion show and wedding florists to pipers and photographers and a new supplier of beautiful cakes and wedding cup cakes, there was quite a range. At the Ivory White Events stand, many customers were enquiring about our new soft fit chair covers. These are brand new and excellent value at £2.95 for the chair cover and organza tie. Popular chair tie colours for 2010/2011 are purples, in particular dark plum purples, and greys including charcoal grey. We have these colours in the organza and satin fabrics.

Thank you to all those at The Maitlandfield House Hotel, who made sure everything ran smoothly. Our next wedding shows are 13th March at Craighouse Campus, Edinburgh. 21st March at Macdonald Hotel, Cardrona. 28th March at Melville Castle, Edinburgh.

Wedding Fayres 2010

At Ivory White Events, we have been busy attending Wedding Fayres, most recently on Sunday 21st February, at Barony Castle, near Peebles. Thank you to all those who attended the show and to Esther, the Wedding Co-ordinator. It was great to meet many of the brides and grooms who had already booked chair cover hire with us.

Barony Castle is a wonderful wedding venue and is surrounded by beautiful countryside. We decorated the Elibank Room, often used as the ceremony room, with cream chair covers with red taffeta chairs. The Meldon's Suite was dressed with white chair covers and a combination of silver and purple organza chair ties.

Our next Wedding Fayre is Melville Castle in Edinburgh on 28th March. Along with it's new Pavillion, it is certainly worth a visit for any bride looking for the wow factor wedding venue. Chair covers will be on show along with beautiful wedding flowers and wedding photographers to advise on the best shots for your big day. This is a Wedding Fayre not to be missed!
